Project participants strongly stated that they were interested in additional information and resources identified through the course of this project!
This web pages development is in direct response to stakeholder
feedback and expressed need for access to the project documents,
literature cited, and relevant resources identified through the course
of this effort. These participant requests also confirmed that there
was a need to provide an updated resources to help raise awareness and
education about the concept of environmental security, its
implications, and practical application within the national security,
environmental, and development communities.
To these ends, the "Concept"
component of this web page has been developed to provide some
introductory resources and findings about Environmental
Security. The "Topics" component are
evolving pages of relevant resource citations and links (where
available) to information resources identified through the course of
this research effort.
Another key part of the intent
behind this web page is that interest to develop and link
together the on-line community of
practitioners and researchers that are interested in environmental
security. While this resource with undoubtably evolve, it
is hoped that it can help support the activities of practitioners,
researchers, and organizations active in this re-emerging area by
providing access to foundational resources and linking in new topical
information.
